School Policies

The school’s discipline policy aims to maintain a positive learning environment. It sets clear expectations for pupil behavior and outlines procedures for addressing infractions

  1. Behavioral Expectations : Respect for others: pupils should demonstrate courtesy and respect towards peers, teachers, and staff and visitors.
  2. Classroom Conduct: Active participation, following instructions, and respecting classroom rules are expected.
  3. Respect for Property: Pupils must handle school property and personal belongings with care.
  4. Attendance Policy. Regular attendance is crucial for academic success. Pupils are expected to attend school every day unless there is a valid reason for absence.
  5. Unexcused Absences: Includes non-medical reasons like skipping school or truancy. These may result in disciplinary action.
  6. Tardiness: Pupils should arrive on time for classes. Repeated tardiness may lead to disciplinary action.
  7. Consequences for Infractions: Minor Infractions: Includes talking out of turn, minor disruptions, or incomplete homework. Consequences may involve warnings or a talk with the teacher.
  8. Major Infractions: Includes bullying, vandalism, or repeated rule violations. Consequences may involve detention, parent meetings, or other disciplinary actions.
  9. Appeals Process: Pupils or parents may appeal disciplinary decisions by contacting the school administration.
  10. Excused Absences: Medical Reasons: Illness or medical appointments with a note from a healthcare provider.
  11. Family Emergencies: Situations such as a death in the family, with appropriate documentation.
  12. Pre-Approved Absences: Extended vacations or events must be approved in advance by the school.
  13. Reporting Absences: Parents should notify the school office before 9 AM on the day of the absence via phone or email.
  14. Dress code: Pupils are expected to dress in a manner that is neat, clean, and appropriate for a school setting.
  15. Acceptable Attire: Tops: Must cover the shoulders and midriff. No offensive or inappropriate graphics.
  16. Bottoms: Must be of appropriate length and fit. No ripped or torn clothing that exposes undergarments.
  17. Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety reasons. No sandals or flip-flops.
  18. Uniform Policy: Pupils may be required to wear specific uniforms. Detailed descriptions of acceptable uniform items should be provided.
  19. Prohibited Items: Hats and Headwear: Not allowed inside the classroom unless for religious or medical reasons.
  20. Accessories: No jewelry, sunglasses, scarfs.
  21. Dress Code Violations: Pupils in violation of the dress code will be asked to change into appropriate attire or may face other disciplinary measures.
